Today is a dreadfully rainy day in London. From what I can gather it's meant to pour all week. And it's a Monday to boot, in August. Enough to put anyone in a gloomy, duvet-day-type mood, right?
So here's (hopefully!) a little brightener on this grey day. A few pictures from nature taken on a sunnier day than this one.
Over the past few years life has taught me that you have to look for the small things to lift you.
They may only be noteworthy or beautiful to you, and the joy they make you feel may only last a second or two before your attention is diverted to something else. But the fact that you did stop and notice is what counts.
For me that feeling could come at the sight of a bird gleefully circling the skies, someone's candy-pink coloured jumper or the look of joy on my daughter's face as she jumps into a big puddle.
So when I come across something that catches my eye and gives me that little feel-good jolt I try to catch it on camera. I also store these images for inspiration for my jewellery or other creative projects. Below follow some others.
Happy rain day!
